Andrew attended Boston College Law School after receiving a BA in Government and American Studies from Connecticut College. During law school, Andrew served as a Summer Law Clerk to the Honorable William G. Young of United States District Court-District of Massachusetts, as well as working in the Illinois Office of the State Appellate Defender.
Most recently, Andrew was a legal extern in Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP’s Chicago officer working on a variety of litigation and transactional projects. During this time, Andrew took on extensive research and drafting duties relating to FCPA compliance, SBA lending programs under the CARES Act, wrongful conviction suits, depository services, and real estate transactions, amongst others.
Prior to law school, Andrew worked as an Honors Paralegal at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, as well as in the Office of Congressional relations. While at the Federal Trade Commission, Andrew served on the Commerce Planet trial team that won an $18.2 million judgment. Andrew also spent four years as an educator, initially teaching English Language Arts as a Teach for America Corps member in Mississippi before spending two years at Uncommon Schools in Brooklyn.
After growing up in New Jersey, Andrew has lived in Washington, D.C., Mississippi, Brooklyn, and Boston, before finally settling in Chicago for the long-term.
